My name is Randy West.  I am head coach of the Virginia Beach Volleyball Academy 13 National TNT Girls' Junior Olympic team.

I began my volleyball career in 1974 while serving with the United States Navy.  I was fortunate enough to be able to play as a setter with select Navy teams throughout my 30 year career against other service teams as well as international competition against teams from Spain, Italy, France, Greece, and Israel.

I am currently the girls' varsity volleyball coach at Norfolk Christian High School (1 year), and the girls' coach at Landstown Middle School (7 years). I have also coached Junior Olympic teams with VBVBA 15 BAM (2007), VBVBA 14 TNT (2008), and VBVBA 13 TNT (2209, 2010).  I am certified through IMPACT, ASEP, NYSCA, and I am a member of the Virginia Beach High School Coaches Association.

After 30 years of Naval service, I retired in 2002 and began teaching 6th Grade Language Arts at Landstown Middle School in Virginia Beach.  I hold a BA from Saint Leo University and a MS Ed. from Old Dominion University.

I have been married for 36 years to my lovely wife DeeDee.  We have three children; Jeremy, Jessica, and Joshua, and two beautiful grandchildren; Abbey and Brayden.

Erin played high school volleyball at Western Branch HS, in Chesapeake, Virginia.  She now attends and plays volleyball for Virginia Wesleyan University.  Erin has played JO volleyball for VBVBA and is now assuming the assistant coaching position of VBVBA 13N TNT from Coach George.  Erin brings a tremendous knowledge of the game, especially on the defensive side.  She is considered to be one of the best Libero's from this area.

Erin was the Assistant Coach of 12 National in 2009, which represented the Old Dominion Region at the 2009 Junior National Champonshps in Miami, Florida.
